Founded in 2007, Lauren Wegel Architect is a New York based full-service design firm which provides a diverse range and scale of work specializing in  building conversions, renovations, and new construction.  The firm brings a personalized hands-on approach to every project and believes that design is a collaborative process- where constraints are viewed as opportunities for original and creative design.

A graduate of Syracuse University School of Architecture and post-graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, Lauren Wegel is a licensed architect in New York and has over 25 years of work experience in addition to her private practice at firms such as Selldorf Architects, FX Fowle, and Rafael Viňoly Architects where she completed numerous commercial, institutional, and residential projects.  During her time at FXFowle she gained experience with green building design and sustainability issues on a number of residential and  commercial projects.   She continues to apply this knowledge within her work as per the individual requirements of each project and client’s needs and budget. In addition to maintaining her New York practice, she has also taught architectural design at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Architecture and Kansas State College of Architecture, Planning and Design.
